Only one thing is going to remain with you: that is your witnessing, that is your watchfulness. This watchfulness is meditation.
Meditation simply means a discipline that makes you capable of being aloof and detached.
You are the witness, to whom things happen but who remains a witness. Witnessing is the art of nonidentification, and non-identification is all.
Non-identification is all there is to meditation. It is the whole meditation.
So meditation is not really mind-effort. Real meditation is not effort at all. Real meditation is just allowing the mind to have its own way, and not interfering in any way whatsoever -- just remaining watchful, witnessing. It silences, by and by, it becomes still. One day it is gone. You are left alone.
Meditation has only one meaning, and that is going beyond the mind and becoming a witness. In your witnessing is the miracle -- the whole mystery of life.
A man of meditation simply enjoys the flowers, the birds, the trees, the rain, the sun, the moon, the people. It is good that we are all engulfed in a mysterious whole. Life will be utterly boring if every mystery is decoded.
Once you have started seeing the beauty of life,
ugliness starts disappearing.
If you start looking at life with joy,
sadness starts disappearing.
You cannot have heaven and hell together,
you can have only one.
It is your choice.
Don't move the way fear makes you move.
Move the way love makes you move.
Move the way joy makes you move.
